Description: Preferred alternative project locations (points) in the Resilience 2050 long-range transportation plan (LRTP).This represents the final list of projects (preferred alternative) in the Resilience 2050 long-range transportation plan (LRTP). There are two layers that make up the Resilience 2050 project data which should be used together: Resilience 2050 Preferred Alternative Project Points and Resilience 2050 Preferred Alternative Project Lines. The project points and lines are exclusive of one another, and if the project can be represented by a line, there will not be a corresponding point.Resilience 2050 includes a variety of expansion and system preservation projects that add to or enhance our region’s transportation network and may receive federal funding from 2028 to 2050. These include transit, bicycle, pedestrian, highway and interchange projects. The Baltimore Regional Transportation Board (BRTB) also includes projects that help the system function more efficiently. The full Resilience 2050 LRTP with more information on these projects is available online on the Resilience 2050 webpage.Project alignments will be refined in future design phases and may be modified from those illustrated here. Note that some large-scale projects are not mappable and are not included here. These are primarily large-scale projects that improve transit infrastructure or rolling stock such as MDOT MTA’s zero emission bus transition, overhaul of light rail vehicles, and overhaul of MARC rolling stock. The Baltimore Regional Transportation Board will vote on the Resilience 2050 LRTP document on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. A comment period will be held from Wednesday, May 17 through Tuesday, June 20, 2023.
